Why come to the Symposium?

Why come to the Symposium?

Drawn from across the US and internationally, we have an amazing line up of keynote and short speakers for the Symposium this year. Based on our theme of Making and Being the Change We Need – Faith-driven climate leadership from the boats, the banks, and the grassroots, we have speakers from a lobster boat coal blockade, a ‘clean investment’ advisory firm, a non-traditional agriculture institute, an author/journalist, a leader in creating the new model for the economy, and an activist creating the ‘fusion political movement’.

Register now to hear these speakers on August 8 – 9

Our Keynote speakers are:
Jay O’Hara, Quaker and Lobster-boat coal blockader
Tre Cates, COO/CFO, The Savory Institute
Shelly Alpern, Director of Social Research & Advocacy, Clean Yield Asset Management
Robert Jensen, Professor of Journalism, University of Texas, Austin, Author of “Plain Radical”

New this year, we will have two five minute talks to introduce broader topics. Our short talk speakers are: Gus Speth and Ben Ptashnik.

Register online for the Symposium.

Remember, the keynotes and other speakers only set the stage for the interactions and discussions that take place during the entire two days. Come share new thoughts, and find inspiration, in Strafford, VT on August 8 – 9. But if you don’t believe me about how important this Symposium is, then read this from Dr. Joel C. Hunter, Senior Pastor, Northland – A Church Distributed

“I am thankful for the upcoming ‘Our Children, Climate, Faith Symposium’ in Strafford, Vermont. The gathered voices/efforts of those compelled by their faith, who love God’s creation and our children, who need it to be healthy, promises to be a prophetic event that will make a significant difference.”

I hope we will see you in Strafford!
